WILL THIS FLOAT: Phantom Assemblies is a site-specific, speculative performance piece on the process of building a kolek, a small Malay boat. This piece is performed by weaving in movement, oral history archives, and spoken word. On a site where few remnants of its boatbuilding past remain, a car is used in an attempt to remember and imagine.
